Plus the new Bikila LS and TrekSport in new colors for both men and women!
Big news! Five Fingers retailer CitySports has just put up for purchase women's KomodoSports (This is the first they've been made available! No men's yet!), women's Jayas (A women-only shoe), men's and women's Bikila LS, and two new colors of TrekSports — red/black for men and blue/grey for women! As far as I know, this marks the first online retailer to actually have any new Spring 2011 Vibram FiveFingers in stock, ready to ship (As opposed to the psych-out by REI a couple weeks back)!
Here are some details and links to go pick up a pair of the new Vibram 2011 line while they last:
- Jaya — available in white/pink and black/grey — $85 – find the Jaya here.
- Women's KomodoSport – available in blue/yellow — $100 — find the women's KomodoSport here.
- Men's Bikila LS – available in black/grey — $100 — find the men's Bikila LS here.
- Women's Bikila LS – available in blue/grey — $100 — find the women's Bikila LS here.
- TrekSports in new colors! Surf men's red/black TrekSports here. Women's blue/grey TrekSports here. Cost: $100.
Just as soon as I hear anything regarding availability for the other 2011 VFFS — the Jaya LR (women), and KomodoSports for men — I will send out another alert! !
CitySports offers FREE GROUND SHIPPING on all VFFs! What more could you want?
You can learn more about the Jaya here, the TrekSport here, the KomodoSport here, and the Bikila LS here. As for sizing, Jayas should size similarly to Classics, KomodoSports, Bikila LS and TrekSports should size similarly to Bikilas. As with all VFFs, sizing varies from model to model and sometimes even from color combination to color combination!

So excited!! I just ordered the KomodoSport as soon as City Sports updated their Facebook!!! CANNOT WAIT!!
Just got a notice from shoemart today. My Komodosport just shipped out to me on 2/1/11.
FYI: City Sports has the Bikila LS for Men in Black-Light Grey and for the Women in Light Grey-Blue are available according to the site.
REI also has pink/black women’s TrekSports for preorder. They look nice!
I was sad to read that all of the Jayas have leather. For some reason, I thought only the LR did.
Definitely getting Komodos, though.
TheShoeMart.com also has all the new ones and says they will be shipping early Febuary. I just cancelled my order with City Sports and used the promo code crossfit10 for 10% off at theshoemart. This ended up costing around the same for 4 pairs as it would have been for 3 at City Sports since tax isn’t added outside of CT. Just a heads up though you may wait longer 4 is always better than 3.
@Sparrow,
Where did you get that Jayas had leather?
I didn’t read it anywhere.
@Zephyr
If you go to the link that has them for sale at CitySports, it says:
“The poly/lycra fabric and full grain leather in the upper makes for a comfortable fit while the elastic topline is easy to secure.”
I’m thinking it might be the grey part.
Just received my Komodosports. Very comfortable. I likr the two straps. Youn get good fit with them.
I’m eager for my Jaya LR.
As a guy, I like the Jaya’s, I saw them at my local running store and they felt rally light and the sole was nice and flexible. Might go try them.
Looking at the regular Jayas on Vibram’s own site, the leather is not mentioned, nor is it reflected in the price. I think CitySports must have copied the description from the Jaya LRs.
I got my Komodosport yesterday !!! so glad i preorderd them. Being that these are my very first pair of VFFS i absoulty LOVE THEM !!! they are a lot softer than i would have thought, all the more great. A little bumbed that the color was not a bright as the pictures show, rather a more lilac color. But oh well. Im itching to wear them outside of the house, stupid snow. But im gonna chance it and endoure the cold. I read else where that with movement your feet donr get as cold. 🙂 Much thanks to the whole Birthday crew!!

anyone know how Vibram got the name “Jaya?” I only ask because i ran the NYC Marathon in my Bikilas and the word “Jaya” written across my chest in big letters. two weeks before the race my wife gave birth to our beautiful daughter Jaya and I used that as my inspiration. Is it crazy to think that maybe someone from Vibram noticed me and thought that would be a good name for their new womens shoe or is that just wishful thinking? here is a pic of me…
