It’s that time of the year (again) when retailers lose their minds and start offering crazy deals on just about everything. The madness is only amplified by the emerging consumer mentality where folks do price comparisons from the aisles of retail stores thanks to 4G smartphones, showroom the products they’re interested in and then order them from Amazon.com (Guilty?). Did you hear that places like Walmart are (unofficially) price-matching some online prices? Other retailers like Best Buy are officially doing just that.
It’s madness!
Anyway, I thought I’d share a few deals that you might be interested in on minimalist/barefoot shoes (or sandals!) to gift yourself or your friends/family. Check it out!
Vibram FiveFingers!
VibramFiveFingers.com — If you’re after some “old” stock—Bikilas, KomodoSports, TrekSports—you might try VibramFiveFingers.com. They started a huge sale with stuff from 40-60% off with free shipping (and a bonus coupon) as of November 21 (posted about here). A ton of models that were on sale already sold out, but you might still get lucky …
Travel Country — Travel Country has actually been running a sale on “clearance” Vibrams for awhile now. They’ve got things like KSOs and Classics for $40. They even have the latest and greatest Lontras, SeeYa LS, and Speed XC at 20% off, which makes those water-resistant VFFs much more affordable.
CitySports — You might hit up CitySports and use coupon code BDAYSHOES20 to take 20% off any non-sale item! This could be used on non-sale FiveFingers or anything you like. NOTE: This coupon is going to work past Cyber Monday and into December HOWEVER there’s a 25% off coupon today only (Cyber Monday, November 26, 2012) off your entire perchase — code: CYBER25 —Hookitup!
VIVO BAREFOOT!
Vivo Barefoot has a 40% off sale on everything running until November 28.
Find the sale here. Simply enter code VIVOBF.
Vivo makes a lot of great “barefoot shoes” across numerous categories — winter-friendly, water-resistant, casual, trail, running, and even a few that can pass in the office like the super popular Ra or the recently reviewed Gobi (like the Ra but a boot!).
Xero Shoes!
In celebration of the third year anniversary of Xero Shoes (originally called Invisible Shoes), you can get their huaraches DIY kits with the most excellent Xero Shoes huaraches soles for as little as $20.
Talk about a sweet stocking stuffer (you could literally roll up a kit and throw them in the stocking)! Grab them here and use the code “anniversary” to hook it up. The anniversary sale on Xero Shoes ends December 2nd.
I’ve covered Xeros pretty exhaustively — see my review/how-to for kid’s huaraches, the new crazy color Xero soles in living color here, and my Connect vs. Contact super-review here.
BirthdayShoes Stickers!
Ok I had to throw this on here. If you’re looking for a pretty cool stocking stuffer and a way to give back to this site (Did you know the average review takes 5-8 hours to write/photo/edit/publish?), what better way than to pick up a 5-toed sticker? 5-toed 5 stickers yell, “Hey, feet have toes! Stop with the foot coffins already!”
If you want more than 5, please contact me at justin at birthdayshoes.com.
Now shipping internationally! Just do me a favor and order 5 ($10) to help cover the higher shipping costs.
Good luck! And remember, the only cost to using your bare feet as your preferred running attire is more attention to your form.
One reply on “Cyber Monday Barefoot Shoes Sales!”
Anyone who can help me with sizing of Vivo Ra and Gobi?
I’m a 42 in Vibram Komodosports – which size to pick for those?
thx!
