Bob Ewing is once again running the Marine Corps Marathon this year, but unlike his previous MCM last year which he ran in Five Fingers and raised money for St. Judes, this year’s marathon is being run in honor of Bob’s mother, who is fighting cancer, and Bob’s goal is two fold:
- Raise $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
- Encourage people to join the bone marrow registry.
As part of Bob’s efforts, he tapped Chris McDougall, Dan Lieberman, Jason Robillard, Barefoot Ted, and others to help him create a video about his mission. Check it out after the jump!
If you want to donate some Korima to support Bob’s barefoot run, there are two great ways to do it:
- The most direct: donate via Bob’s fundraising page over at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society — OR —
- Make me work: Buy a BirthdayShoes T-Shirt TODAY October 25, 2010. For every t-shirt bought TODAY, we will donate $5 of every T-Shirt purchase made today to Bob’s fundraising goals.
If you want to grab one of the styling BirthdayShoes Tees, go here and place your order (The all-in cost on a T-shirt is $20 for most all sizes) and we’ll tally up the results tomorrow and make a donation to support Bob’s fundraisin’ goals!

LOVE this. Will buy a shirt today (for a good cause and because I want a shirt!) and will hopefully see Bob on Sunday! Will be running the MCM 10K myself. Really drunk though so let’s hope I survive.
looking for my CC… 🙂 Great Cause. I have friends running MCM. Good luck to all.
I think this is a great cause and I have put it up on my website to promote it as well. Good luck Bob! I also really liked BFT’s outtake at the end.
